From Bella Hadid to Doja Cat, many celebrities have been adapting iconic hairstyles from that era to our tech-driven reality, embracing a cool retro attitude (plus lots of hair gel). Dua Lipa

In her early Future Nostalgia days, Dua Lipa sported a half-bleached hairstyle, which by itself already had “‘90s” written all over it. For the 2020 Grammys, she opted for a slick pulled-back look complete with a topknot and two large tendrils of hair, plus a middle part – a style similar to the one she’s wearing on her album cover.

Devon Lee Carlson

It’s no secret that the fashionista influencer loves a good ol’ ‘90s-inspired hair look. In a recent Instagram post, she’s seen with her long, straight hair tied up in a high ponytail; the retro touch is complete with the thin, irregular bangs.

Doja Cat

For the 2021 Grammys, Doja Cat went for the rockstar-worthy shaggy mullet, complete with shorter bangs – a look that blends references from the ‘80s and ‘90s, updated for today.

Bella Hadid

Another huge ‘90s enthusiast, Bella Hadid has been seen sporting a variety of throwback hairstyles. At the 2020 MTV VMAs, she chose the classic ‘90s messy bun with loose tendrils at the front.

Billie Eilish

After nearly breaking the internet with her new hair color, Billie Eilish shared a photo of herself with her hair styled in a voluminous, fringed blown-out bob that looked straight from the ‘90s.

Lizzo

In another great ‘90s-inspired Grammy moment, Lizzo took to the 2021 ceremony red carpet with her long, wavy hair adorned with oversized bedazzled hair clips – which her stylist famously bought at the mall for just $2.

Jennifer Lopez

Like the true ‘90s icon that she is, J-Lo knows how to successfully bring trends from that generation to this time. Earlier this year, hairstylist Chris Appleton (who’s also behind the aforementioned Dua Lipa look) shared a photo of Lopez with her hair styled in updated space buns, finalized with large double tendrils.

Kim Kardashian

We know Kim isn’t afraid of trying new hairstyles every now and then. For this look she shared on Instagram in January, she has her hair straightened and tied up in high pigtails, complete with thin double tendrils – making her look like she came straight from a ‘90s flick.

Zendaya

Zendaya is another star who loves to play with different hairstyles. For this one, the actor gave her voluminous curls a further ‘90s touch with the curtain bangs – giving it a feeling of nostalgia and freshness at the same time.
