The Matchy-Matchy Outfit Is Taking Over New York Fashion Week (V Magazine)

At last, in-person fashion shows are back with street style stars, editors, and influencers taking over the sidewalks of New York City. And just a couple of days in, this season has brought out quite a few celebrities to the front rows. Fashionwise, there’s one thing they all seem to agree on: matching set outfits. Katie Holmes showed up to Christian Siriano’s show in a glittery blazer and coordinating flared trousers. Ciara whipped out a fall-ready leather skirt and matching corset for the Dundas x Revolve presentation. And while we haven’t seen Selena Gomez officially attend any shows this season, she’s still showing off her best street style looks in New York City. Most recently she opted for a sleek knitted Nanushka set. It’s basic fashion math: One...

DUNDAS COLLABORATES WITH REVOLVE FOR FIRST NYFW SHOW (V Magazine)

London-based designer Peter Dundas and Revolve joined forces for an electric New York Fashion Week drop. Dundas x Revolve launched on Wednesday at Casa Cipriani with a see-now-buy-now lineup of 46 runway looks and also marked the designer’s first showing at NYFW. The cast included models Imaan Hammam, Soo Joo Park, Stella Maxwell, and Cynthia Arrebola, who walked on an outdoor mirror structure overlooking the East River to early-2000s-like electronic beats. The natural wind blowing their hair added an extra glamorous feel to the occasion. Celebs Return to the Front Row at New York Fashion Week (W Magazine)

After a long pause, New York Fashion Week is back in full swing, which means stars from all over are braving the rain and flocking to the city in order to take their place along the runways across the city. The NYFW seating gods are, as always, on our side, placing mismatched pairs and trios next to each other and allowing the Internet to engage in some fan fic in an attempt to answer questions like, “What do you think Lil’ Kim and Alicia Silverstone talked about at the Christian Siriano show?” We may never know, but what is certain is that the parade of famous faces will continue throughout the week, as celebs admire the looks from the best seats in...

Irina Shayk Makes a Convincing Case for the Return of Cargo Pants (W Magazine)

Your dad is about to be so excited. Remember those cargo pants he loved because they were just oh so practical, but you insisted belonged in the trash and not on him while out in public with you. Well, they might be back in style—just ask supermodel Irina Shayk because she recently stepped out in the contentious garment, a telltale sign dads everywhere may have been right. Shayk attended the New York Fashion Week Bulgari party at Le Bain in New York City on Wednesday night. Styled by Corey T. Stokes, the model wore stiletto sandals and a LaQuan Smith metallic orange corset bodysuit fit in all the right places. She paired the standout top with a much more subdued, but still daring,...

Collina Strada’s Runway Beauty Was a Fairy Garden Fantasy (VOGUE)

Just as sunset began to spread over the Brooklyn Grange’s rooftop farm, Collina Strada’s spring 2022 show—and its colorful cast of characters—came out swinging to usher in the return of in-person NYFW. As performer Dorian Electra’s cover of Pharrell’s “Happy” blasted on the sound system, models spun, skipped, and twirled down the runway, topping off their “farm queen” and “frog princess” ensembles (as designer Hillary Taymour called them) with individual beauty looks punctuated by whirls of ombré color and subversive shapes. “We wanted to make everyone look like they were playing and gardening in a fairy garden,” explained makeup artist Allie Smith, her own gaze framed in a haze of abstract paint and glitter backstage. “It’s about really bright, beautiful colors and all...

The Best Looks From New York Fashion Week Spring 2022 (W Magazine)

Although New York Fashion Week spring 2022 technically began on September 8th with a stacked roster of shows including Ulla Johnson (which turned its runway into a hall of mirrors inside the Brooklyn Botanic Garden), Willy Chavarria, and Proenza Schouler, it was Collina Strada designer Hillary Taymour who set the scene the day prior for the first IRL NYFW since February 2020. Collina Strada’s show took place on the rooftop farm at Brooklyn Grange; as the late afternoon sun set, models including Jazzelle Zanaughtti aka Ugly Worldwide, and the musician Hawa frolicked down a stone path surrounded by tomatoes, jalapeños, and arugula growing in planters. They ran, skipped, and danced wearing Taymour’s spring 2022 collection titled “Snail’s Pace”—which consisted of cheerful prints done in orange, pink, sky blue,...

Vogue’s Ultimate Guide to the Best High-Waist Jeans (VOGUE)

The best high-waisted jeans are those you feel most confident in—every woman knows a less-than-comfortable pair comes with debilitating effects. Pinches and gaps—no, thank you. When a high-rise hits just right, the rest of your outfit sings, whether you’re styling in a waist-skimming crop, French-tucking a crisp button-up, or opting for a fitted bodysuit or tee. Of course, the best high-waisted jeans will vary in wash, fabrication, and silhouette—it’s about personal preference and the look you aim to embody when a denim mood strikes. Timeless styles like straight-legs and skinnies sans distressing are the most versatile in medium-blue tones and well-suited to dressed-down days and elevated moments alike. Flares and crops are popular classics, too—the former looks great in deeper washes, and the latter helps to spotlight your...

The Loveliest Embroidered Jeans, Denim Jackets, and Chambray Dresses to Shop Now (VOGUE)

After spending months wearing waist-up centric outfits, pants are once again having a well-deserved moment in the spotlight, from psychedelic trousers to—the reason why we’re here—embroidered jeans. If you’re going to wear a pair of pants, it might as well come with fun, smile-inducing stitching, right? Several street-style stars are already on board with the movement, and our photographers captured several of them wearing attention-grabbing designs while marching off to spring’s shows in Paris and Tokyo. Some of our favorite models are also reemerging in the fancy stitches. Bella Hadid, for example, recently showed her love for the comeback of statement jeans (and Y2K trends) while posing in a low-rise Von Dutch design. And it’s not just embroidered pants that are flooding our feeds and stores...

A Shoppable Preview of Our Favorite Fall Jackets (VOGUE)

Fall is nearly here! While there’s still time to relish in the final hot days and languid spirit of the summer, now is also an opportunity to start looking ahead to the crisp autumn months. To that end, there’s no time like now to begin sartorially prepping and re-upping on fall jackets, so when the chilly temperatures inevitably arise, you’re well equipped. This season, there are many fall jackets from which to choose. Consider a blazer cool enough for summer’s end and warm enough come fall. Or, opt for a tried-and-true trench coat that can be thrown over any outfit for some elevated polish. Alternatively, a statement fleece or oversized shacket will bring an air of slickness to any look. Here, a preview of some of our favorite fall...
