Leopard faux-fur hats, silver shining opera gloves, and shaggy knit leg warmers are just a few of Dua Lipa’s recent outfit choices—but her adventurous spirit of dressing goes far beyond that too, expertly matching and melding streetwear with emerging labels and Y2K style. She has also become a muse to designers, walking the runway for Versace and, even more recently, Balenciaga fall 2022 couture. Unsurprisingly, Puma has bought her back for a second Flutur collaboration, featuring her signature playful aesthetic.
This time around, the collection includes more than 30 pieces featuring pastel pink hues mixed with holographic stripes. Vivid purples and oranges with accent colors like green really shine, and the striped maxidresses evoke the sporty athleisure side of Lipa’s unique style.
Lipa is adamant that each and every item easily lends itself to styling with the everyday pieces already in your wardrobe: “You can style the pieces however you want—you can cut them up, and you can create different, exciting ways of wearing them,” says Lipa. They’re designed to be unisex and mixed and matched with regular wardrobe staples both high and low.
You may have also caught a preview of the sneakers and tracksuits as Lipa has been wearing the pieces throughout her Future Nostalgia tour. (She also teased them on her Instagram with a new magenta hair color too.) “I love pairing the tracksuit or trainers with more high-fashion accessories or even heels for an elevated look,” she says. “The collection is also perfect for a night of dancing, which I’ve been doing a ton of on my Future Nostalgia tour. I’ve paired the trainers with some incredible looks that my stylist and friend Lorenzo Posocco and I have worked on throughout the tour and on my festival dates.”
While Lipa took inspiration from ’90s streetwear for her first collab with the sneaker giant, she decided to look to rave culture for this iteration: “I love the imagery from the rave culture days of the ’90s and 2000s,” she says. “You can feel the energy in them, and the fashion was always so fun. These time periods inspire everything from my music to the way I dress today, so it felt only natural to incorporate some of those color schemes and silhouettes into this collection.”
