GCDS LAUNCHES ITS FIRST EVER EYEWEAR CAMPAIGN “ALL THE FACES OF GCDS” (V Magazine)

Today the Italian streetwear label debuted its first ever collection of sunglasses, marking the expansion of the brand into eyewear. The campaign titled, “All The Faces Of GCDS”, features images of different faces and facets that represent the brand and promotes its customers to “feel unique” and “feel the love” while wearing the aesthetically cool shades. The intention of the campaign is to show that sunglasses don’t wear you, you wear them.

The new collection is in collaboration with and licensed by eyewear giant Marcolin. Cofounder and Creative Director Giuliano Calza told Forbes, “It was clear in my mind that I had to make this happen with a much larger structure and on a larger scale, which Marcolin offered me as soon as I wanted to start. It took a moment to make the timing and deadlines of our collections align but it’s definitely worth it.”

GCDS launched 12 new styles of eye-catching and flashy sunglasses that will be divided in 2 yearly drops with a new campaign featuring fresh faces each time.

For the campaigns, Calza wanted to introduce new, young faces instead of using established models that every brand picks. The images used in the campaign come in a range of black and white to very vivid, rich colors, which represent two different worlds that are both signature to GCDS. Embodying playfulness yet elegance at the same time.

When asked about future collaborations for GCDS Calza said, ““We alway fantasize about it and come up with so many ideas, but nothing is yet in the making!”
