Chanel's Fall-Winter 2021/2022 Haute Couture show took place on Tuesday in a theatrical spectacle. Straight from the stylish 16th arrondissement in Paris, the collection was featured against the backdrop of the Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum. Movements of French painting drove the materials and styles, with bright pops of color intended to offset the greyness of winter. Each piece was an artwork, with lines like brushstrokes and sparkly embellishments to give life to the garments.
The makeup, too, was an art.
