LOOK EFFORTLESSLY COOL IN THESE BAGGY PANTS (V Magazine)

The pandemic has taught us to slow down and treat ourselves well. Back to school, back to the office, and back to normal, it’s time to say goodbye to our pajamas. As the world starts to get bustling again, we can still keep in mind: let’s take it easy. The first step is comfort dressing, and a pair of baggy pants would be an appropriate start. As seen in collections of fashion houses like Balenciaga, Maison Margiela and Jacquemus, with long length and extra-wide design, these pants are not only chic but also put you at ease. . This Indigenous Model Launched a Hand-Crocheted Knitwear Line (VOGUE)

UU
During last year’s stay-at-home order, New Mexico–based Indigenous model Lily Yeung—who is Navajo and Chinese—found comfort in handicrafts. “I’ve crocheted most of my life, and I returned to it this past year during the pandemic as it is a very meditative outlet for me. It made me feel comforted when things felt uncertain,” Yeung tells Vogue. The meditative hobby soon turned into a bigger project, however: Yeung experimented with hand-crocheted clothing items, and when she started sharing her creations on her Instagram page, the demand for her designs gained momentum. “I began to use crochet to create garments that held me and made me feel protected and beautiful,” Yeung says. “Once I began sharing some of the pieces I was making on Instagram,...

THE SIMON MILLER FALL-WINTER 2021 COLLECTION HAS ARRIVED (VOGUE)

OO
Courtesy of Simon Miller Say hello and Beep Beeeeep to Bird Club! CEO and Creative Director, Chelsea Hansford, found inspiration in the classic American animated series ‘Looney Tunes’ and the long time battle between duo characters, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner. For the collection, titled “Bird Club”, Hansford turned the 60’s cult TV classic into a bold color palette, with custom prints, and characters for an overall vibe that will make anyone who grew up with these cartoons feel super nostalgic. In homage to ‘Looney Tunes’, Hansford partnered up with photographer, Amanda Charchian, to capture models Salem Mitchell and Lera Pen who go head to head for this season’s look-book shot at a ranch in Rim Rock located in the Joshua Tree...

Celebrating Turning 26, Dua Lipa Reinterprets the Birthday Hat (VOGUE)

NN
Last week in all of her outré Leo glory, Dua Lipa rang in her 26th birthday (with some bops under her belt) in some stellar looks. One, in particular, stood out: She wore a birthday hat. And yet, this wasn’t your standard celebratory paper cone cap. Instead, she donned an XXL spiky faux fur hat; its brim was dip-dyed in highlighter hues for an old-school raver appeal—a piece by London designer Mowalola. That wasn’t the only label from the across-the-pond city she donned. Lipa styled the hat with an oversized gem-dotted suit by fellow young London brand Martine Rose, which she paired with a lace bra for a saucy effect. The London fashion train kept going, too. A few days later,...

Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa Will Make You Miss Summer Already (W Magazine)

hh
Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa have both spent the bulk of August posting up a storm of photos showcasing their individual expert vacation style. Lipa had been doing so from her native Albania, but it turns out she ended up joining Hadid in Ibiza for a trip that’s all but guaranteed to make you want to board a plane immediately. On Thursday, the pair shared a trove of photos of them together, documenting the full extent to which they had a ball (and looked fashionable while doing so). Naturally, each carousel was chockfull of throwbacks to ‘90s and early aughts fashion, starting with another of Hadid’s array of colorful butterfly hair clips. Hadid started out with yet another look at the sunset-print...

Stella McCartney’s Earliest, Raunchiest Designs Are Coming Back (VOGUE)

pp
The late ‘90s, rolling into the early ‘00s, is the fashion era I love most. It’s like minimalism got tipsy and started experimenting with mega-watt maximalism. It’s a chic whisper of a rhinestone, rather than the glitter that blinded the early aughts. Those years are best embodied by Stella McCartney at Chloé, who helmed the label from 1997 until 2001. And for quite some time, I’ve been steadily collecting her designs from her tenure at the French house. My closet is filled with those epic fruit T-shirts: bananas shaped as creepy-freaky hands cupping boobs; a big pineapple in the center of the chest. I have a spicy, off-the-shoulder “69” top that creeps a little above my belly button whenever I’m...

BEYONCÉ AND JAY-Z STAR IN TIFFANY & CO.’S “ABOUT LOVE” CAMPAIGN (NYLON)

LL
Beyoncé and Jay-Z just landed their first-ever fashion campaign together with Tiffany & Co. — and it’s a good one. The luxury jewelry brand revealed its “About Love” campaign on Monday, starring the power duo (and everyone's favorite couple). As a part of the brand’s new creative direction under LVMH, the series redefines and explores the facets of love from the Carters’ vision. The campaign also features another star. For the first time ever, Beyoncé is adorned with the breathtaking Tiffany Diamond made up of 128.54 carats and 82 facets. The rare gemstone was unearthed in South Africa back in 1877 and has previously been worn by only three women: Mary Whitehouse, Audrey Hepburn, and Lady Gaga. Beyoncé is now the fourth woman...

BOBBLEHAUS RELEASES THIRD SUMMER CAPSULE, “FIRE 火” (V Magazine)

gggg
As we reach the tail-end of one of the hottest summers on record, New York-based clothing brand BOBBLEHAUS cranks the thermostat even higher. Today marks the release of the AAPI-owned brand’s third Summer 2021 capsule collection, aptly titled “FIRE 火." Not only does the collection pay homage to the scorching natural element, but it also brings attention to the UN’s recent climate report discussing Earth’s rising temperatures. The lookbook for the capsule is fittingly aflame. Making up the fiery capsule are shirts, a t-shirt, and sweat shorts in fierce shades of red, orange, and yellow. The genderless collection continues BOBBLEHAUS’ practice of sourcing materials from deadstock fabrics in order to avoid introducing new fabric into the industry. One eye-catcher is the...

More Is More: How to Layer Necklaces Like the It Girls This Summer (VOGUE)

VG
Minimalists, look away. A-listers are united on the fact that—this summer—the more necklaces, the better. The obsession makes sense: During a year when making an impression was restricted to our computer screens, “waist-up” dressing offered a fresh way to smarten up an outfit. Zoom-worthy jewelry became a focal point of casual catch-ups and work calls, even if people were wearing tracksuits. Photo: @Dualipa  he enthusiasm for layered trophy jewels is yet to cease. Hailey Bieber has been fueling the trend. Her favorite combinations include a thick gold chain from Anita Ko, a herringbone style from Fallon, plus sweet, beaded pieces from Frasier Sterling and Ian Charms. Husband Justin Bieber and Dua Lipa are also fans of the latter brand, which founder Lisa Sahakian describes...

10 Corset Tops to Wear This Season (W Magazine)

iiii
Corset tops—long associated with Renaissance Faires, period films and prim Victorian fashions—are suddenly on the way to becoming the stand-out staple of this season’s wardrobe. Who would’ve thought that what was once considered an outdated, constrictive garment would be reclaimed as an article of self-expression for all genders? Our top picks for this fall implement classical details that have been remixed with contemporary touches: Vivienne Westwood added a functional zipper to hers, while LaQuan Smith’s dominatrix-esque take comes in a glossy red faux leather. For a combination of comfort and vintage flare, Molly Goddard presents a ruffled, shirred version. There’s even a particularly cheeky one for the dog lover: A cropped off-white version by Ashley Williams features a cotton-candy-colored poodle portrait, front...
