Dua Lipa on the Meaning of Butterflies and Her Second Puma Collab (VOGUE)

GYB
Leopard faux-fur hats, silver shining opera gloves, and shaggy knit leg warmers are just a few of Dua Lipa’s recent outfit choices—but her adventurous spirit of dressing goes far beyond that too, expertly matching and melding streetwear with emerging labels and Y2K style. She has also become a muse to designers, walking the runway for Versace and, even more recently, Balenciaga fall 2022 couture. Unsurprisingly, Puma has bought her back for a second Flutur collaboration, featuring her signature playful aesthetic. This time around, the collection includes more than 30 pieces featuring pastel pink hues mixed with holographic stripes. Vivid purples and oranges with accent colors like green really shine, and the striped maxidresses evoke the sporty athleisure side of Lipa’s unique style. Lipa is adamant that each and every item easily...

Dua Lipa Nails Festival Dressing in KNWLS BY ALEX KESSLER (VOGUE)

ji
Glastonbury and Coachella might be over, but there are still plenty of major live music events to come this summer. So it stands to reason that festival fashion is a trending topic. And Dua Lipa’s latest boho-chic look is right on the money. The 26-year-old pop sensation documented an outfit perfect for a weekend of music and debauchery in the sunshine on her Instagram feed. The ensemble consisted of a purple sheer long-sleeve dress with matching fluffy leg-warmers, a black cat ear beanie hat, and a snakeskin-embossed leather shoulder bag, all of which are by emerging London label, Knwls. Dua topped off the look with silver hoop earrings, as well as black sunglasses and trainers by Balenciaga.   . . Originally posted from "VOGUE" by Alex Kessler...

Barbiecore Is Quickly Becoming the Trend of the Summer (W Magazine)

hnm
Ever since it was announced that Greta Gerwig would be taking on the world of Barbie in a film about the Mattel character, (and tapped real-life doll Margot Robbie for the title role,) the Internet has been devouring every piece of content and news around the project. Photos from the set, featuring Robbie in a hot pink Western-esque getup went viral quicker than you can say “let’s go party,” and now it seems like the color and aesthetic of the doll of the moment are taking over fashion. Lately, every red carpet features a Barbie-pink look, and it’s hard to scroll through Instagram without feeling like you’re walking the aisles of FAO Schwartz. If the summer of 2021 was a time for Goth, emo, and...

KALI UCHIS & LOLA LEON ARE Y2K FASHION TWINS IN NEW OBSESIÓN DENIM CAMPAIGN (NYLON)

huhloi
After launching Bodied by Uchis in the fall of 2021, Kali Uchis is bringing the heat back this summer with the second drop for her inclusive clothing brand. This time, she’s tapping into the world of early-aughts denim trends and more. The “Telepatía” singer’s upcoming release, titled Obsesión, expands her fashion line with quality pieces made out of raw denim that take inspiration from her love for Latinas and the ‘90s. (Though, from the low-rise styles and raw-hem waists, we’re seeing a hint of Y2K fashion, too.) In celebration of the collection, Uchis has brought out a familiar style star rising on our radar, taking model (and daughter of Madonna) Lola Leon along for the ride — quite literally. Bella Hadid Arrives in the Metaverse With a New Line of NFTs (VOGUE)

fufj
Everyone wants a piece of Bella Hadid. Now, thanks to a new NFT (non-fungible token) platform called CY-B3LLA, they’ll be able to grab one, albeit in a modern, somewhat strange way. In collaboration with reBASE, a social metaverse site, Hadid is releasing a massive range—11,111 unique works, to be exact—of shoppable online art pieces based on her own image. These NFTs are digital assets, essentially cybernetic souvenirs or collectibles. It’s also more than just having the JPEG saved on your desktop: you receive a digital record (essentially a serial number or certificate of authenticity) that proves that you and only you purchased this specific asset. Hadid asked 10 different creatives to make art out of 3D scans of her own body, including...

Yara Shahidi Just Reinvented The Classic Cat Eye (W Magazine)

gyy
There are some fashion and beauty basics that should never be messed with. The little black dress will always be a staple, a red lip isn’t going anywhere, and until recently, it seemed like the cat eye was pretty tried-and-true as well, that is, until Yara Shahidi flipped it on its head. On Tuesday, Shahidi dressed up to attend the unveiling of Cartier’s latest high jewelry collection at Liria Palace in Madrid, so of course couture was in order. But it was her makeup that really made a statement, a bold take on the classic cat eye that will leave you rethinking everything you know about beauty. For the occasion, Shahidi and her stylist, Jason Bolden plucked a dress from Valentino’s...

“It’s Full Self-Expression At Its Maximalist Best”: Harris Reed On Creating Beyoncé’s Club Kid Cover Fashion (British VOGUE)

hih
Harris Reed’s party trick is performing Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” dance. He learnt – and perfected it – as a youngster, and doesn’t care that it might be considered basic now. The song, like all of Queen B’s work, hits home. “As a young queer kid who came out in quite a conservative environment, hers is the music I’d play on the bus to school, when I was alone in the playground and eating my lunch by myself, dreaming of more of a glittering, romantic, fabulous world,” says Reed. His deep connection to the spirit of the Beyhive reached new heights when Vogue’s Edward Enninful called the creative and asked if he could make a bespoke look – and an edit of club...

Kendall Jenner’s Tank and Slip Dress Combo Is the Summer Styling Trick (VOGUE)

fgf
Last night, while out in Los Angeles attending a birthday party, Kendall Jenner stepped out wearing a skimpy dress with a colorful sketch print from Heaven by Marc Jacobs. She paired the curve-skimming slip with unlikely footwear—not a strappy heel nor a kitten heel—but a pair of Dorateymur croc-embossed leather boots. On her arm was a pared-back Acne shoulder bag. Bag and boots aside, the real head-turner here was that Jenner opted for a modest white tank top by Bassike as a layer underneath her skimpy dress. This styling trick was a different take on the white tank top or rather, the tried-and-true secret weapon of supermodels. In the past, we’ve seen both Bella and Gigi Hadid as well as Jenner pair...

Bella Hadid Blurs The Line Between Pajamas and Swimwear (W Magazine)

ftf
It’s possible the pandemic made us rethink the way we looked at pajamas. Pre-2020, sleepwear was mostly confined to the home, aside from the occasional quick pharmacy run to grab to grab some cold medicine when sick. But after two years of fully embracing sweatpants, and with the companies like Sleeper popping up and elevating pajamas to the point where they resemble formalwear, sleepwear has slowly made its way out of the house and into other parts of our lives. Rihanna recently proved boxers can become going out gear with the right accessories, and now, Bella Hadid is making a case to bring them to the beach. Now, the beach seems like the last place you would want to wear pajamas—the sand getting...

Balenciaga Barbie Is Kim Kardashian’s New Fashion Alter-Ego (VOGUE)

ftft
Kim Kardashian is the undisputed queen of Balenciaga. Having modeled a multitude of looks by the Parisian maison—from the trio of jaw-dropping outfits on Saturday Night Live, to that incognito Met Gala moment that sent the internet into a frenzy and her spring 2022 campaign—it’s evident that Kim is diehard fan of the brand. Her latest look proves she’s just as dedicated as ever. In her latest Instagram post, captioned “Pics by North,” the 41-year-old entrepreneur wore an all-pink ensemble that’s entirely Balenciaga. The look consisted of a cropped hoodie, a striking pair of Spandex Knife pantaboots, a diamanté Hourglass mini bag, and silver cat-eye sunglasses. Thanks to an all-pink backdrop, the Barbie doll influence is clear. But this isn’t Kim’s first time wearing head-to-toe pink. She’s made...
