ARE CORSET SKIRTS THE NEW “IT” FALL ITEM? (NYLON)

DDR
On Sunday, Aug. 29, Poosh founder and TV star Kourtney Kardashian was seen alongside her Blink-182 beau Travis Baker in Venice, Italy. In a recent off-duty photo, the pop-punk lovebirds – whose relationship was confirmed earlier this year – were seen hand-in-hand, with Barker rocking a grey graphic tee with pinstriped patchwork pants from Enfants Riches Déprimés, black sneakers, and black sunglasses from Prada. Right by his side, Kourtney opted for a deep-V black cardigan over a black bustier and a red brocade corset skirt, complementing her hourglass figure. She paired the look with studded mules from Givenchy and black sunglasses. With Kourtney debuting an entirely new look this year of punched up punk ‘fits, it’s no surprise the media superstar was seen in the beloved corset skirt. The lace-up...

This Celebrity-Approved Jewelry Designer Is Obsessed With Snakes (VOGUE)

FRR
If you’re ophidiophobic, you may want to look away. Lilith by Sita is a new jewelry brand that finds beauty and inspiration in snakes. The label’s statement earrings, belts, and necklaces all feature the slithery reptiles on them and have been worn by Billie Eilish, Kim Kardashian, and Rosalía. The brand was founded in 2018 by Sita Abellan, a Spanish DJ, model, and stylist turned designer based in Barcelona. (Fun fact: She has a casual cameo in Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” music video.) Abellan saw designing as an organic extension of the styling work she was doing, primarily for Colombian musician J Balvin. “I have always loved fashion and expressing myself through it, and styling inspired me to draw and design new...

Beyoncé Transforms Into “BarBey” With Some Help From Versace (W Magazine)

tttt
Beyoncé’s spree of showcasing her outfit excellence on Instagram continues. On Saturday, she attended a celebration of the 18th anniversary and reopening of her husband Jay-Z’s The 40/40 Club in New York City. Eschewing the event photographers, she instead posted another of her self-directed photoshoots showcasing an outfit styled by KJ Moody. As usual, even more photos appeared on his own Instagram, along with an apt description of the look: “Malibu Bey Barbie Dream.” (“My Barbie is literally wearing those same shoes!,” one follower commented.) The hot pink color scheme came courtesy of the Madrid-based label The 2nd Skin Co., which designed Beyoncé’s organza trench coat, and Versace, which designed her satin platform pumps and suede drawstring bag. Both accessories were accented with...

This Week, the Best Dressed Stars Brought Vacation Vibes to Work (VOGUE)

WWW
Everyone can make the most of summer style, even if they aren’t on holiday. Last week, celebrities had plenty of work to do thanks to a full schedule of movie premieres and televised appearances. Still, most found a way to bring lighthearted energy to their wardrobes. In Los Angeles, Thandiwe Newton continued her press tour for Reminiscence by stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live in the moment’s key color: electric chartreuse. Newton’s pleated, neon, silk-chiffon Brandon Maxwell dress from the designer’s spring/summer 2021 collection was refreshing as a cocktail. Paired with glittery Paris Texas boots, Newton’s outfit made a bold statement on screen. The fact that it coordinated perfectly with the tie-dye Alexander McQueen suit worn by guest host RuPaul was the cherry on top. Of course, you didn’t...

Fall Florals Will Be This Season’s Go-To Print (VOGUE)

HHH
Though we know and love bright, punchy, flowery prints as the hero pattern of spring and summer, fall-hued florals are sure to become equally as popular this season. These slightly darker, more muted versions will not only complement your existing wardrobe but will make your fashion transition from summer to fall that much easier. When the time comes to put away those blooming dresses, floral crocheted bucket hats, and meadowy bikinis, reach for a simple gold necklace with floral beads stationed throughout, a knit cardigan with delicate flower embroidery, or a solid pair of clogs with floral accents. Fall florals aren’t as overpowering or vivid as their spring counterparts, but they also don’t have to be any less lovely. An allover print may be translated into a sheer floral-patterned overlay, and bright...

Kendall Jenner Finds Summer’s Coziest Dress (VOGUE)

DDD
Gauzy maxi dresses and lingerie-inspired slips come to mind when you think of summer dresses, but lightweight fabrics aren’t your only option. Unexpected materials can add oomph to even the simplest outfits, even on the warmest days; just ask Kendall Jenner. Currently enjoying a break onboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, the modeling star updated her Instagram this afternoon with snapshots of herself in the final look of Daniel Lee’s spring 2021 collection for Bottega Veneta. Lee’s towel-knit gown in a bold shade of seagrass was delightful when worn by runway star Adwoa Aboah, but Jenner—and her dreamy backdrop—took the piece into fresh territory. Accessorized with a pair of Agmes’ golden wishbone earrings and Monica Vinader’s chain link charm bracelet, Jenner looked the part of...

Vogue.com’s Executive Fashion Director Shares Her Fall Shopping List (VOGUE)

rrr
As much as I love summer, I can’t help but get excited about fall—otherwise known to me as layering season. Some of my best fall outfits are comprised of classic pieces like jeans, sweaters, and great boots, worn in artful ways. After a season of breezy cotton fabrics and gossamer white dresses, I gravitate toward richer, warmer hues that are universally flattering—think forest green and deep burgundy. And stripe knits and sturdy boots quickly replace summer’s patterned sarongs and flip-flops. I view a great fall wardrobe a bit like a puzzle—a select few key pieces that, when put together, look just right. The go-to boot, the wear-anywhere dress, the versatile bag—each item on their own are pretty basic but when styled just the right way, make magic. With September on the...

Megan Thee Stallion Wore Green Bottega Veneta to Celebrate “Butter Remix” (W Magazine)

fff
Megan Thee Stallion has plenty to celebrate. And on Thursday night, she feted two major occasions: the release of her “Butter Remix” single with BTS, and her Roc Nation manager T. Farris’s birthday. While her track with the K-pop group rolled out on streaming platforms, Meg was at dinner with Farris and a group of their closest friends (which includes Paul Wall, who also works with the manager). Megan gifted Farris a diamond chain in the shape of the letters “T” and “F” by the custom jewelry company Eliantte, which Farris modeled on Meg’s Instagram stories. But the most notable moment from the evening might have been Megan Thee Stallion’s outfit—she wore a head-to-toe Bottega Veneta look from the brand’s pre-fall...

Beyoncé Mixes Vivienne Westwood and Raf Simons For a Preppy Moment (W Magazine)

llll
It’s a big week for Beyoncé, who debuted her first joint campaign with Jay-Z for Tiffany & Co., costarring a rare Jean-Michel Basquiat on Monday. Her latest photoshoot to make a splash was another captionless Instagram, in the vein of the Christopher John Rogers and Telfar post that practically broke the internet earlier this summer. This time, with the help of her stylist KJ Moody, she went with Vivienne Westwood, the same designer behind the silver sequined bodysuit the singer memorably wore in 2018, looking like a heavenly superhero while on her On the Run 2 tour. Westwood initially styled the purple-and-yellow tartan men’s suit that Beyoncé wore in her new post with a gold brocade tie, white button-up, and sneakers in her spring 2021 look-book. Beyoncé went with...

KELIS’ BEST Y2K FASHION MOMENTS (NYLON)

y2k
You can’t talk about the Y2K fashion without mentioning Kelis’ style. Her outfits from the early 2000s were truly unmatched. The star (and definite trendsetter) had a natural penchant for mixing bold prints and rocking eccentric looks, from corset tops and mini skirts to sparkling evening gowns and animal prints. Along with her natural fashion sense, the award-winning singer (and now chef and entrepreneur who’s living her best cottagecore life) redefined the hip-hop and R&B scene with her soulful vocals and hit songs, including “Milkshake,” “Bossy,” and “Caught Out There.” Decades later, we’re now seeing a resurgence in these Y2K-era trends, but let’s not forget that Kelis was one of the originals to wear them best. Check out some of our favorite early-aughts looks from her, ahead. 1999, MTV...
