Kylie Jenner Is The Alternative Denim Queen (VOGUE UK)

Kylie Jenner is a committed supporter of emerging brands. The beauty mogul loves the caché that comes with wearing a one-of-a-kind piece by a Central Saint Martins graduate or an upcycled look from a conceptual label that would never have the budget for influencer marketing. Yes, these directional outfits are frequently paired with rare Hermès bags and It-girl Amina Muaddis, but every little helps in the celebrity sphere that peddles big-name companies. Jenner’s offbeat fashion approach extends to denim. On a recent trip to London, Kylie supplemented her rare vintage collection with directional jeans from Sevali, Ottolinger and Devised Antithetical, as well as the obligatory Balenciaga. Each of these brands comes with a story that’s just as interesting as her ’90s Thierry Mugler motocross jacket. Take Sevali. Chilean designer Sebastian...

ZENDAYA AND LEWIS HAMILTON AT THE FOREFRONT OF VALENTINO’S LATEST FALL 2022 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN, PINK PP (V Magazine)

Captured in the still frame of a moment, frozen in a monochrome sign that pervades everything is acclaimed actress Zendaya and British race car driver Sir Lewis Hamilton shot for Valentino’s latest Fall 2022 advertising campaign, Pink PP. Symbolic of the color of love, community, energy and freedom, Valentino’s Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli immerses the collection relentlessly in a single shade of Pink. A different emotional and mention space is given to this single hue of Pink, a collateral dimension to the real that can be accessed. It is a territory, equal and opposite to the transcendence of the dream. Promoting that one cannot own a color, but can own a feeling. Pink PP is a manifestation of the unconscious and a...

Dua Lipa Combines Two of Summer’s Biggest Trends in One Look (W Magazine)

When it comes to summer dressing, if ever in doubt, just go with an all-white ensemble. It’s chic, easy to put together, and, most importantly, will keep you cool in these soaring temps. That’s likely why Dua Lipa opted for her latest look, a no fuss, almost completely monochrome ensemble with just a touch of unexpected leather. The singer is currently in her parent’s home country of Kosovo, where she is holding the Sunnyhill Festival, a music festival organized by Lipa and her father, Dukagjin Lipa. Ahead of the event, Lipa shared some images on Instagram, celebrating her return “home” and her upcoming performance. In the images, Lipa is wearing an all-white look, courtesy of one of the singer’s favorite brands, Bottega Veneta....

Isa Boulder’s Sexy and Eccentric Knits Are Taking Over (VOGUE)

Isa Boulder Summer 2022 / Photo Courtesy of Isa Boulder Isa Boulder Summer 2022 / Photo Courtesy of Isa Boulder Isa Boulder Summer 2022 / Photo Courtesy of Isa Boulder Isa Boulder caught my eye when I saw Normani wearing the label’s negative space argyle knit separates—bra top, sleeves, bikini bottom, and socks—in her “Wild One” music video with Cardi B. The look is sexy yet crafty; experimental and alluring in equal measure. Normani’s not the only one who’s taken a shine to Isa Boulder, though. The swim and knitwear brand has won over the pop stars Dua Lipa and Lorde (per my Instagram feed) and most of Gen Z (per my TikTok feed). What makes it special is the way it seamlessly exists in an intersection between lingerie and ready-to-wear. Designer Cecilia...

THE “IT” BAGS OF 2022 SO FAR, FROM DIESEL TO BALENCIAGA (NYLON)

While we can’t believe that we’re more than halfway through 2022, it’s been shaping up to be an exciting year for fashion. Runway shows are back and bigger than ever; collaborations are still going strong with surprise partnerships (Yeezy Gap and Balenciaga, Gucci and Adidas, to name a few); and somehow, Barbie’s signature pink wardrobe has become a massive, widespread style inspiration. In the shopping space, we’re seeing unexpected brands rise to the top, plenty of nostalgic items making a comeback (to no one’s surprise), and, of course, a lot of handbags making it onto everyone’s wishlist. The category still remains one of the most lucrative assets for any fashion brand, so if a certain style goes viral, consider it a very good thing. Ahead, see...

It’s Official: This Is The Dress Style Of The Summer (British VOGUE)

It doesn’t take a fashion expert to see that skin-bearing silhouettes are spiking this season. Following a fallow year (or three) where oversized, covered-up clothing reigned and comfort was king, it seems as though the fashion world has rebelled, taking scissors to their designs (not literally, as far as I’m aware), and slashing and slicing them with abandon. Summer dresses, in particular, have been subject to this treatment, with cut-out styles appearing on the runways of designers such as Proenza Schouler, Nensi Dojaka and Nanushka. But, unlike the infamous “naked dress”, these skin-flashing pieces are, in many cases, totally wearable and undeniably polished. The joy of the cut-out dress lies in the conceal-and-reveal element. Think: a slither of under-boob, a flash...

NEXT WAVE: MEET FASHION’S MOST ECLECTIC VANGUARD (V Magazine)

New season, new fantasies. The next wave of fashion all about pushing limits, and these six designers do just that. From their daring headpieces to playful experimentations with color and texture, the new vanguard of designers are taking fashion in a bold direction, down the path first explored by Off-White's Virgil Abloh. Continuing along Abloh's journey are his imaginative Off-White, sustainable trendsetter Kevin Germanier, fluid storyteller Harris Reed, surrealist Jonathan Anderson, textile explorer Richard Quinn, and couture enchantress Miss Sohee. Each designer is a true visionary, and their work brings fashion's wildest fantasies to life. The Dress Download: 11 Styles Vogue Editors Are Loving In July (British VOGUE)

What is summer without a gorgeous roster of dresses to rotate around? Well, that’s the opinion of the British Vogue editors, who not only have their own dress style signatures down to a fine art, but who are also often found influencing the purchases of their colleagues and friends. Take European beauty and wellness director, Jessica Diner, whose floral dress collection is now a fully fledged part of her wardrobe DNA, or commerce director, Naomi Smart, who rarely steers away from a body-con midi. But what’s on the agenda for July? Slinky slips that can roll into a carry-on just as easy as they can roll out (because, really, who is still contemplating checking in luggage in the midst of a travelling surge?). Beach restaurant-ready dresses that you can fling over...

Kylie Jenner’s Latest Look Will Have You Sweating (W Magazine)

The heat of the summer months has many ditching their heaviest pieces for more comfortable and breezy alternatives. Even latex queen, Julia Fox, has been wearing the fabric less lately (we say less because Fox could never ditch latex entirely, but she has been wearing it in the form of mini skirts and cut out tops as opposed to full body suits and dresses as she has been known to do). Kylie Jenner, though, has decided that July in Los Angeles is the perfect time to breakout her long-sleeve, latex look, and we’re shvitzing just looking at her. The reality star recently stepped out in a very Matrix-esque ensemble for a date night at Craig’s in West Hollywood with her boyfriend, Travis Scott. Ahead...

Kim Kardashian Is On Board With Summer Cargos (VOGUE)

If you’re anti-handbag, we’ve got good news for you. Cargo pants—the kind with big, bulky pockets that can store just about anything—are trending on the runway and off. We’ve seen cropped styles at Jacquemus, classic iterations at Lacoste, and shiny satin pants at Tom Ford. If you’re hesitant about the utilitarian (and very Y2K) style, allow Kim Kardashian to serve up some styling inspo: She emerged in New York today wearing a huge cargo pair of her own. Tom Ford spring 2022  Photo: Filippo Fior / Gorunway.com Jacquemus spring 2022  Photo: Courtesy of Jacquemus The star stepped out in a pair of camo-style cargo pants, which had a deliberately baggy fit. To offset the wide-leg silhouette, she paired the hefty trousers with a sleek tank top, and pointed...
