Kate Moss Debuts As The Face Of Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent Spring 2018 campaignPhotography David Sims

Spoiler alert: she looks amazing

When it comes to models, you’d probably feel pretty confident saying that Kate Moss has done it all. While she has been a fan of Saint Laurent – since it was first rebranded by Hedi Slimane – she has not made an appearance on the runway or in a campaign since the Tom Ford-era. Until now. Following a teaser posted on Instagram, the Parisian house has now released the Spring 2018 campaign featuring the iconic model. Photographed by David Sims, the British icon appears in one image dressed in a feathery dress from the SS18 show that paid homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s archive. In the accompanying campaign video, directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, we see Moss on her journey to the top of some steps that look as though they...

Kate Moss Gave Us All Her Beauty Tips

Photography Daniele + Iango. The Alphabetical Issue, no. 323, 2013

You’re welcome.

This article was originally published by i-D UK. Kate Moss knows her way around a mascara wand. Not only has the Croydon-born, decade-defining supermodel spent more hours in a makeup chair than we’ve spent trying to make our liquid eyeliner, she’s also managed to perfect in seconds the just-got-out-of-bed look, which can take the rest of us mere mortals days (and an entire glam squad) to achieve. To quote Miuccia Prada, "What can one say about Kate that hasn't already been said?" Not much, to be honest. Since her doe-eyes and freckled features first graced the cover of The Facein 1990, she’s had an inordinate influence on style and beauty. She’s the personification of 90s fashion and the definition of supermodel...

Help, Is A 2000s Boho Style Revival About To Happen?

1510679652079-BeFunky-Collage

Slouchy suede boots and coin-covered belts are due for a comeback.

“Teenage girls like certain things I wear — or certainly did when that whole boho thing happened,” Sienna Miller said in 2009. She was right to an extent. She just didn’t go far enough. From the summer of 2004 to late 2005, a generation of British teenagers (including me) wanted to be Sienna Miller. Only this fact explains the fanatical, widespread adoption of what the British press labeled her “boho” approach to getting dressed. Sienna went to an all-girls boarding school, which made her either intriguingly or infuriatingly posh. She had a naturally athletic, sunny appeal that suggested she was probably really good at both field hockey and getting into London nightclubs...

Imaginary Best Friend Kate Moss Is Obsessed With Secret Gardens And ‘Gilmore Girls’

landscape-1503439177-000628-cal-26e-mrs-low-res

Kate Moss's ascent to supermodel stardom began in 1993 with Calvin Klein Obsession, a fragrance that traffics in the singular feeling of infatuation. Rather than replicate young romance in a studio, Klein sent an 18-year-old Moss and then boyfriend, 20-year-old photographer Mario Sorrenti, to Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands for 10 days. The couple returned from their trip with hundreds of black and white images, the making of one of Calvin Klein's most iconic campaigns to date.

Getty/Courtesy of Decorté

It will be available exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue later this month.

Supermodel Kate Moss has fronted about as many beauty campaigns as you'd imagine—self-tanners, skincare, haircare, you name it. She even launched a line of best-selling drugstore lipsticks for Rimmel London. But now Moss has teamed up with the super-luxe Japanese beauty brand Decorté, which is making its debut in North America at Saks Fifth Avenue, to launch a makeup palette of her must-have lip, eye, and brow products.

Inside the sleek black pouch of the Kate Moss Favorites kit are six silky-smooth powder shadows in neutral taupes, browns, and one "moss" green. All are shimmery—not sparkly—and easily buildable. There are also four matte lipsticks in Moss's iconic shades: two pinky nudes, one classic...

Naomie Harris And a New Orleans Jazz Band Star In Miu Miu’s New Campaign

miu-miu-01.nocrop.w1800.h1330.2x

Designer Miuccia Prada turned to photographer Alasdair McLellan for Miu Miu’s new fall/winter 2017 campaign, casting Naomie Harris, Kate Moss, and a renowned New Orleans jazz band that has performed for over 50 years.
McLellan’s scenic shots follow models throughout New Orleans, from a wooden boat in the Mississippi bayou to the historic venue where the Preservation Hall Jazz Band performs. Harris and Moss posed for glamour shots wearing oversized faux-fur coats, crystal headpieces, and feathered dresses from the collection. Other models danced with the band, including Adwoa Aboah, Kesewa Aboah, Jean Campbell, Eliza Cummings, Jasmine Daniels, Rose Daniels, Lily Nova, and Missy Rayder.
The campaign launches in August. See McLellan’s collaged spreads for a preview in the slideshow ahead.

Calvin Klein Releases Never-Before-Seen ’90s Footage Of Kate Moss

1
Dreamlike footage of a very young Kate Moss has resurfaced for Calvin Klein’s first fragrance campaign under Raf Simons. The American house has released 250 archival images of the supermodel originally taken by Mario Sorrenti for its Obsession scent, which was released in 1993. The never-before-scene graphics mark the release of two new Calvin fragrances, Obsessed for Women and Obsessed for Men, which are both slated to launch in the U.S. on July 1st. The new Obsessed scents are said to be modern interpretations of the 1993 classic. Back then, it was considered youthful, sexy, and wildly romantic—a clever marketing ploy heightened by the hiring of Moss and her then real-life boyfriend, Sorrenti. In the unveiling of archive prints, Calvin seems...

Gladiator Sandals Never Go Out Of Style

PARIS, FRANCE - MAY 03: Models walk the runway during Chanel Cruise 2017/2018 Collection at Grand Palais on May 3, 2017 in Paris, France. (Photo by Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images)

You’d be hard pressed to find a longer reigning footwear trend than gladiator sandals. Not only do they conjure up visions of Greek goddesses and the Roman Empire, but they take us back to original bohemian bombshells à la Pattie Boyd dancing through the summer of love—or more recently, the Insta babes of Coachella rocking bold styles strapped from their ankles to their knees. Karl Lagerfeld featured gladiators in Chanel's latest Cruise show, and Rihanna rocked a killer pair with her most-Instagrammed Met Ball look, putting these classic sandals back in the spotlight again.
