Christian Louboutin And Disney Collaborate On Star Wars-Inspired Heels

hbz-louboutin-star-wars-00-index-1512678425
Who knew Christian Louboutin was a Star Wars fan? To celebrate the release of The Last Jedi, the latest installment in the beloved sci-fi franchise, the famed shoemaker teamed up with Disney and Lucasfilm for a range of heels inspired by four of the movie's leading ladies: Rey, Admiral Holdo, Captain Phasma, and Rose Tico. The footwear is up for auction from now until December 20, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Starlight Children's Foundation, which supports critically ill children in hospitals, on behalf of Star Wars: Force for Change. Although one pair of limited-edition Louboutins—signed by the designer and a Star Warsactress—seems like a big enough prize alone, there's even more included in the package. Winners get a second pair of the shoes plus a...

Reviewing The Ballet Flats You’ve Seen All Over Instagram

margaux-ballet-flats-instagram-1509380384
In today's retail-scape, you can shop anywhere—including on Instagram. In our new column The Tag, we're highlighting indie brands we've discovered (and fallen in love with!) through the social media platform. Read brand backstories and product reviews, then share with a friend so you can both amp up your wardrobe. Easy to wear and suitable for nearly everything in your closet, the ballet flat is a classic that's not going anywhere. The essential proved the perfect entry point for Alexa Buckley and Sarah Pierson, who decided to cast careful consideration on the basic when developing Margaux. Launched in 2015 with an almond-toe flat, the brand has since expanded to offer multiple versions. Must-have products: The classic, rounded ballet skimmer, yes, but also other shoe types: a pointed...

The Under-The-Radar Fashion IG Account We’re Obsessing Over

elle-shoe-comp-1509024567
Food made to look like fashion, elementary-aged children dressed with an abnormal amount of sartorial sense, dog anything: Instagram is nothing if not a repository for clickable content. With a solid four years of carefully crafted images scrolling before our eyes (IG was purchased by Facebook in 2012, marking its unofficial birth into mainstream culture), we should all be forgiven for being just a tiny bit jaded. Beyond the sheer volume of it all, it's common for today's square-crop peddlers to count Insta as their full-time gig, a distinction that's helpful to remember if your own posts ever seem a little blah. All of the above explains why we're obsessed with @MonsieurSaturday's feed. Beyond the obvious (shoes!), Monsieur is run by Octavio Platón Akel, an...

’90s Jellies Make a Comeback In Milan

elle-90s-gellies-alberta-ferretti-1506011793

Alberta Ferretti knows an Insta-hit when she makes one.
Last season, the storied Italian designer sent models like Stella Maxwell and Halima Adendown the catwalk in days-of-the-week sweaters that everyone wore, and blogged, and eventually resold on The Real Real because #hustle.
Today, she doubled down with Skittle-colored tees and millennial pink cashmere sweaters in the same vein, plus something a little extra for us '90s junkies: black plastic jellies dotted with silver studs.

The flat shoes were worn by Feretti's supermodel squad, including Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, both Hadid sisters, and several Victoria's Secret mainstays. Paired with black one-piece swimsuits and some easy, shiny anoraks, the jellies were a nice relief from the white puffy sneakers and fuzzy grey slides we usually see with...

Fans of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara will soon be able to scoop up Better Than Sex stilettos. After months of sneak peek product launches on Instagram, co-creator and chief creative officer Jerrod Blandino announced yesterday that the makeup brand will release a limited number of Better Than Sex heels at their Better Than Sex Pop-Up Shop, set to open sometime in October in New York City.

The Better Than Sex heels are coated in pink glitter, have clear paneling on the sides, and come with a set of cartoon eyelashes on the backs of the shoes. ("Are these shoes winking at me?" Blandino captioned one Instagram photo.) The stilettos also have "Better Than Sex" embossed on the soles in gold lettering.

OMG! The comments on the...

JW Anderson Loops Us In
Guests at this hotly anticipated London show had to walk through a spiral of seats to find their place. It had the same effect as pacing through those chalk labyrinths on the sidewalk—the mindfulness is refreshing, unless you get dizzy.
