Elsa Hosk’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Look Includes 275,000 Swarovski Crystals

Victoria's Secret x Balmain may be the collaboration on everybody's lips this season, but don't let that distract you from VS's long-running (and equally stunning) partnership with Swarovski. This marks the lingerie brand's 15th anniversary working with the renowned jeweler, and they're celebrating in a big way: One million Swarovski crystals will grace the catwalk through various looks in Shanghai, WWD reports.
Elsa Hosk, a VS Angel since 2015, will be wearing the leading look on the runway, which features 275,000 multicolored crystals, 200 yards of ribbon, hand-beaded jewelry, and 14-pound wings. "It is one of the heaviest wings we have ever made," Monica Mitro, executive vice president, brand communications and events at Victoria’s Secret, told WWD.

The 6-foot-1 Brazilian-born stunner who has been working with Victoria’s Secret since 2010, officially became an Angel in 2015, and has appeared in every fashion show except 2012 when she sprained her ankle during rehearsals and was unable to walk the show.

Ribeiro began modeling in 2009, just a year after giving birth to her son Alexandre. Her friends urged her to pursue modeling...

Scented Lingerie Is The Accessory You Didn’t Realize You Needed

When it comes to fragrance, strategies are varied. Some women like their scent to make an entrance, announcing their presence from a few feet away. Others prefer something more subtle that is only noticeable to those who come within a whisper’s distance. For an even more intimate approach, consider scented lingerie, which is now a thing thanks to a very sexy collaboration between Fleur du Mal and By Kilian. Led by Jennifer Zuccarini and Kilian Hennessy respectively, the two-equally chic brands have just produced lingerie that incorporates microencapsulation technology to keep lace fragranced for about six hand washes. It's based off something that happens everyday without us even realizing it, Hennessy explains to CR: “When you wash your clothes, you have microcapsules...

Alicia Keys & Stella McCartney Team Up For Breast Cancer Awareness

Every two minutes, a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. To help raise awareness about the importance of prevention, detection, and equal access to care, designer Stella McCartney has created a limited-edition Ophelia Whistling lingerie set to celebrate what she calls “femininity in the face of severity,” along with a corresponding ad campaign featuring Grammy Award–winning singer Alicia Keys. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the lingerie will benefit both the Linda McCartney Centre, a breast-cancer treatment facility in Liverpool, England, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Examination Center of Harlem, an outreach program that offers the local community free screenings, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs. (The American Cancer Society recommends that women ages...

This New Brand Makes The Case That Men Need Lingerie, Too

Seven years after selling Agent Provocateur, lingerie maven Serena Rees is reentering the market with a modern take on intimates. Inspired by the way her daughter, stepsons, and their friends all shared clothes, Rees decided that what was missing was a gender-fluid intimates line. On September 1, she will debut Les Girls Les Boys. “I looked at what the market was currently offering them, and it felt like there was a big disconnect,” Rees said of her kids to the New York Times. “Victoria’s Secret and Agent Provocateur are just not relevant to them anymore.” Ranging in price from $25 to $150, the 100-piece Les Girls Les Boys collection will feature “Bed to Street” intimates, underwear, and streetwear designed to be worn by men and women....

Aerie Launches Nude Collection Of Bras And Undies

Aerie, the cool sister of American Eagle, has been all about diversity and inclusivity for for a while now. Curve model Barbie Ferreira starred in the brand's Aerie Real campaign back in early 2016, and as early as 2015, the brand put forth completely un-retouched ads.
This week that commitment to diversity came in a slightly skimpier form, with the brand unveiling eleven nude shades of bras and undies for the Aerie Real Me collection. Instead of "nude" secretly meaning only baby doll white, there's now a range of tones that reflect a rainbow of melanin and pigmentation variances: Honesty is a milky cafe au lait. Strength is a rich cocoa. Valentine is a true peach.

The nudes are offered in...

Agent Provocateur’s Founder Is Launching Gender-Fluid Lingerie

Brett Lloyd

Look out for Les Girls Les Boys.

The founder of ultra-sexy (and sometimes racy) lingerie brand Agent Provocateur is moving on to something less kinky and more progressive: a gender-fluid underwear line. Serena Rees, who established Provocateur in 1994 (and eventually sold it off a decade ago), is launching Les Girls Les Boys—a lingerie label featuring intimates, underwear, and streetwear that isn't confined to one gender. The brand launches on September 1 with a debut collection of 100 pieces. The aesthetic is much more toned down than Agent Provocateur's, ditching pasties, lace bodices, and BDSM-esque straps for minimalist designs inspired by streetwear (hence, an appeal to millennials). There are graphic tees, comfy-looking sports bras and bodysuits, and sweats. Perhaps most notable...

Charlize Theron Wore Nothing But A Dior Bra & Mini Skirt On The Red Carpet

While promoting her new movie, Atomic Blonde, Charlize Theron skipped the traditional red carpet gown route and instead wore nothing but a bra and mini skirt to the Berlin premiere last night.

Of course, the actress didn't opt for just any old bra—she wore the white Dior logo version with a matching high-waisted skirt and white pumps. The branded Dior straps have been spotted everywhere this season—from the street style scene to your favorite bloggers' Instagrams and the red carpet. For Theron, it was the perfect opportunity to show off her killer body which, in part, may be the result of all her intense stunt scenes from the film. And at 41 years old, the actress proves there's no age limit to rocking lingerie...

This Bra Company Wants To Make Underwire A Thing Of The Past

image (3)
"It would be a shame for you to leave with the idea that this is a strapless bra," Bree McKeen told Refinery29 at a preview event for the Everyday Bustier, the inaugural and hallmark item of the brand she founded, Evelyn & Bobbie. After all, this particular lingerie silhouette has a pretty bad reputation with anyone who's unsuccessfully tried to keep one on for the duration of a workday (or even just a couple-hours-long event). The Everyday Bustier has already distinguished itself: not just any strapless bra can meet and wildly exceed its fundraising goal on Kickstarter within a few days, with backers willing to shell out almost $100 for undergarments. "When people hear ‘strapless bra,’ they think special occasion,...
