Moon Boots Are Back At Jeremy Scott

Nothing can upstage Gigi Hadid on the catwalk, but Thursday night at Jeremy Scott, 17 pairs of boots came close.
They were "skyscrapers," in Scott's words—metallic and furry Moon Boots that reached to the models' thighs. They came in prints and in puffs, with shorter gold and neon versions made for the guys. (Though we bet many women will snag those, too.)

The collaboration comes in the wake of a comfort shoe revival: Crocs are now A Thing for Balenciaga and Christopher Kane, Jellies hit the Alberta Ferretti runway, Birkenstocks became fuck-me shoes, and thigh-high Uggs happened at Y-Project. Scott had his own Ugg line last summer, which was equally killer.

What makes these shoes exceptional is how seamlessly they fuse into Scott's...

Jeremy Scott On Why Gigi Hadid Is An ‘OG Jeremy Girl’

980x (24)
fashion shows,NYC ,
"Like a fine wine, I just get better with age." That's what designer Jeremy Scott tells me when I ask if after 20 years it gets harder to come up with a wild theme for his legendary, over-the-top fun fashion shows. The brain drain is increased since 2011 when he became Creative Director at Moschino. He just showed his Fall '18 men's show in Milan, featuring a sexy bondage theme and devil-horned Violet Chachki. In NYC this week, Scott was feeling neon colors, cartoons and muppet-style faux fur. Are there any cartoon characters or dream collabs he hasn't yet gotten to do? "Yes," Scott says, "but my lips are sealed." The front row at his eponymous NYFW show was just as...

Jeremy Scott Is Dropping A Makeup Collection With MAC

Moschino designer Jeremy Scott is teaming up with MAC Cosmetics for a collection of limited edition makeup housed in the ultimate throwback packaging. Scott broke the news on Instagram today, sharing that he designed "a boombox shaped eyeshadow palette consisting of 29 shades, a lip palette shaped like a tape cassette with a mirror, and a lil something for the cheeks in the form of a CD!"

Considering Moschino and Jeremy Scott's namesake shows always bring major beauty moments on the runway (rhinestones, false lashes), it's no surprise that Scott's first beauty drop would favor the brighter side of beauty. Inside the Boombox shadow palette are 29 bold shades—ranging from stark white to ultra violet. But in...

Jeremy Scott’s Collaboration With UGG Is Exactly What You’d Expect

When UGG reigned supreme in the early 2000s, the world was a different place. Kim Kardashian was Paris Hilton's humble assistant; Pluto was still a planet (demoted in 2006); and presidents didn't have Twitter accounts. Style-wise the era could be described as cute but vulgar—an aesthetic that fully embraced rhinestone butterfly navel rings, for example! Loved by both 'What a Girl Wants' and 'Dirrty' Christina Aguilera-type gals, one of the sartorial status symbols of the decade was, of course, the UGG boot. Despite its authentic surfer roots from the seventies, the shearling shoe was quickly catapulted into aughties iconography as a cozy, but 'basic' must-have. Fast forward almost 20 years and Jeremy Scott's capsule collaboration with UGG is here to shake...

Jeremy Scott Reveals How The Cool Vibes Of L.A. Inspired His Fiery New UGG Collab

Check out our exclusive interview with the designer

If you needed a clear indication that the early aughts are back in full swing, Jeremy Scott’s new collaboration with UGG is your biggest sign yet. The Moschino creative director is now translating his ever-popular, pop culture-inspired designs into eight styles for UGG’s forthcoming Fall 2017 collection, which also happens to be the first collaboration from the footwear brand that will be available for all categories—men, women, children, and even babies. We caught up with Scott to find out what inspired the designs for the highly anticipated line. In an exclusive new video campaign, starring rapper Lil Yachty and model Jasmine Sanders, the designer revealed how he translated the cool culture of L.A. into everyone’s favorite boot. “I...

The Paradox Of Designer Jeremy Scott

Normal" isn't the first word that comes to mind when considering Jeremy Scott's unabashedly exuberant designs, which have most recently included: a minidress embellished with garbage (for Moschino), a chandelier dress (for his eponymous line), Candy Crush–emblazoned swimsuits (as part of a collaboration with the überpopular game), and bedazzled Uggs (part of yet another collaboration), to name a few. Yet that's exactly how the designer describes himself: "I'm a very normal person with a very even keel," he says. Those surprised by that statement may be forgiven, seeing as Scott can more often than not be found in head-to-toe animal print alongside superstars (and friends) like Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. "I think because of the eccentricity of my work...

Devon Aoki Is The Ultimate Muse In Jeremy Scott’s Neon Pink World

After returning to the runway for Jeremy Scott's show, having made only a handful of fashion appearances in the past decade, Devon Aoki is back again, featuring in the designer's autumn/winter 16 campaign. The campaign was shot and creative directed by Jeremy himself, featuring a studded leather jacket and matching mini skirt as well as a neon pink and black patterned trench coat from his recent collection. Aoki and Scott have a close and long-lasting friendship, first meeting when the iconic model made her catwalk debut at his show when she was just 13 years old. "In life there are few people who are your true, true friends, who will be there when you're in a hospital bed and really, really...

How To Pretrend You Were At Jeremy Scott’s Fashion Show

Rumor has it 10,000 people tried to RSVP to Jeremy Scott's show over the long weekend, with online scalpers selling "tickets" and panicked text messages asking "CAN I GET IN W U?" (Answer: "New phone, who's this?") Then there was the cold—numbing—and the snow—sticking—that stalled planes, skidded taxis, and stopped some invitees from taking their seats.
If you couldn't make it, scroll down to see everything you missed, including Karlie Kloss, Nicky Hilton, and a battery-operated fur coat.

It's a coup to get Karlie Kloss on your catwalk just once, but Jeremy Scott had America's (actual) top model march three separate looks down the catwalk. Too much Karlie is never enough, but still, we're grateful.

OVERALLS AREN'T OVER Frame Denim, Tibi, and Alexa Chung for...
