Anyone who has drunken the cross-body Kool-Aid can attest to the addictive nature of not having to hold a handbag. Allowing it to rest easily on your hip isn’t only a breeze, it also has that “devil-may-care spirit” to it, or—as they say here in Paris—a certain je ne sais quoi. Carine, known to forgo bags in lieu of pockets, perhaps exemplifies this better than any one else.
