The Bag Brand That’s Become The Fashion Set’s New Obsession

Wandler preceeds itself: Before I'd even seen any product from the bag brand, no less than four people had told me how "obsessed" I'd be with them. Designer Elza Wandler, who launched the brand in 2017, hails from south Netherlands, currently resides in Amsterdam, and has her bags made in Italy—so yes, anyone who really knows my simple yet polished style, would be correct to guess I'd love Wandler bags. But anyone who knows me also knows I can be a bit stubborn, so I had a very "I'll be the judge of that!" mentality about the whole thing.
When the bags finally landed on Net-a-Porter, I had to give it to everyone: I'm obsessed. Clean lines? Luxe leather? No-frills colorways? Hell yeah, sign me up!

Meet The Exotic new Bag Label Beloved By It Models

You might not have noticed but Gigi Hadid has been playing favourites with her handbags recently. Although the supermodel has access to all of the biggest designer labels in the world, there seems to be only one that she wants to tote around at the moment – and you probably won’t have heard of it, until now.
A few months back, Hadid was spotted carrying a mini snakeskin, top-handled tote from accessory brand, Stalvey. Since then, she has been seen with countless other bags from the label (in red, black, white and more) – and has been using them to accessorise everything from casual denim ensembles to night-out attire.

Of course, it wasn’t long before the bags caught younger sister...

Hands Off! The Coolest Girls Won’t Be Carryling a Bag Next Season

Anyone who has drunken the cross-body Kool-Aid can attest to the addictive nature of not having to hold a handbag. Allowing it to rest easily on your hip isn’t only a breeze, it also has that “devil-may-care spirit” to it, or—as they say here in Paris—a certain je ne sais quoi. Carine, known to forgo bags in lieu of pockets, perhaps exemplifies this better than any one else. Fortunately for us all, this freedom doesn’t simply stop there. This week’s Paris runwaysoffered plenty of riffs on the concept.

The most-bold iteration of this was at Valentino, where designer Pierpaolo Piccioli took his signature romantic mood in sportier direction. He proposed a four-point harness style, because why should babies in...

Forget Mini, Chanel Says X-Large Bags Are in for Fall 2017

When determining the major accessories trends of the new season, the best place to start is the Chanel runway. This morning, Karl Lagerfeld presented his latest collection for the iconic French brand—known for its out-of-this-world shows—by transforming the Grand Palais into a space station complete with a giant 115-foot rocket launch. Watch out, Richard Branson and Elon Musk! Chanel’s intergalactic set complemented the clothing, which featured astronaut prints and Mylar space blanket wraps, as well as finishing touches like glittery cap-toe boots and planet-shaped minaudières. Riffing on the brand’s classic quilted handbags, Lagerfeld proposed new oversize carryalls slung around the models’ necks (with convenient side pockets for your hands); plus, duffels in futuristic silver leather. Their everything-but-the-kitchen-sink proportions tied in with...
