Dear Selena Gomez’s Coat: What Do You Mean?

adg
One outfit, so many questions. Selena Gomez, who has previously worn pajamas as daywear like it ain't no thang, conducted another fashion experiment last night. She left a restaurant in L.A. wearing a fuzzy snood, what appears to be a very low cut black jumpsuit, and a beige sweater (wrap? dress? coat? robe? It fits ANY of those descriptors!) over it. The whole thing raises a lot of questions: SPLASH Is the coat secured in the front by an apparatus that is not Selena's hand? Are those flaps meant to hang down or be tied in a bow? How low is the low-cut top underneath it? How is everything staying up? Are her boobs cold? Are her arms hot? So many mysteries! But really, it hardly matters considering she looks so good. Even a brand like Levi's doesn't produce the majority of its goods in the U.S. anymore. Most clothing brands have long looked to cheaper shores to set up shop. Fashionista writes that in 1993, 52.4% of the garments sold in the U.S. were made here, but by 2013, that number had fallen to 2.6%. Recently, though, a small group of brands have been making...
