In the age of social media, runway shows have become as much about garnering the most likes, tweets, vines, pins and overall impressions than earning the praise of fashion editors and buyers. Which helps to explain Dolce & Gabbana's latest runway show. Models took selfies as they strutted down the runway in Milan, and those selfies were then projected onto screens in the venue. A clever, if unabashed trick to be sure. Click on any one of the brand's promoted hashtags (#DGselfie,#ITALIAISLOVE, or #dolcegabbana) and thousands of results come up. See a few of the chic selfies below, plus check out Dolce & Gabbana's Instagram feedfor more of the best snapshots straight from the catwalk.

Today, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and McKinsey & Company released their Women in the Workplace study, which analyzed the state of women in corporate positions in the United States. The study, which polled 118 companies and almost 30,000 employees, shed light on inequality in the workforce. Of all sectors, the study found that the greatest gender disparity occurs in the highest level of management (C-suite positions). As Sandberg wrote in today’s Wall Street Journal, “If NASA launched a person into space today, she could soar past Mars, travel all the way to Pluto, and return to Earth 10 times before women occupy half of C-suite offices.”
Here, seven other key findings from the Women in the...
The beauty look at Margiela.
Realistic runway beauty is great and everything, but sometimes you want to see the kind of fantastical runway beauty looks that resemble visual Mad Libs. Take the beauty at this season's Maison Margiela show, as created by Pat McGrath and her team. A seeming mishmash of glam-rock eyes and nest-y hair with a hint of geisha, the look won't be arriving on a red carpet near you anytime soon, but it is eccentrically beautiful.
Take a close look at the eyes. Each model was given an individual look of metallic azure, sky blue, or silver. Some eyes were edged in swoop-y circles like Céline last season, while others were given jagged, Ziggy Stardust–inspired star prongs.
Still others were...

Supermodel Kate Moss has a keen eye for detail. Having a style that's been coveted for decades, the supermodel is making her foray into interior design -- and it's beautiful.
Teaming up with architecture and design company Yoo, the pair have reinvented an English countryside holiday home into ultimate "retro-glamour". It's a five bedroom, 650-acre estate -- think comfort and luxury with high walls an open air kitchen and a swimming pool. It wouldn't be complete without Moss' own finishing touches of curated artworks from the likes of Damien Hirst, Allen Jones, as well pieces from her own collab with Chris Allen and Dinos Chapman.
According to Yoo, "The interiors have been carefully considered by Kate - a displaced glamour within the woods - creating a juxtaposition of traditional elegance and modern design."
Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are the latest to join the New Celebrity Parents club. The couple just welcomed their first child, a source confirms to Us Weekly. TMZ reports the baby was born August 4 and is a girl named Arlo Day, according to her birth certificate. Leighton and Adam chose to keep the name, gender, and pregnancy private themselves.
Regardless, it's exciting news for all of us—especially Blake Lively's baby, James. Just imagine the future playdates—and Gossip Girl marathons.
Congratulations to the couple!

Lily-Rose Depp has the world, or at least the online world, at her feet. The 16-year-old Depp-Paradis offspring has moved from Instagram starlet to full-blown fashion girl in a matter of months - amassing a 820k-person fanbase along the way. So, at 10am this morning, when she previewed her French Vogue debut on instagram, the social-media world freaked. The photo racked up 36,343 likes in just four hours.
The Clockwork Orange-esque editorial, shot by Inez and Vinoodh, will appear in an as yet unannounced issue of French Vogue. In the images, Depp, much like her guy-liner loving dad, wears super thick mascara and heavy eye makeup. But her signature pink cheeks and over-all cool aesthetic are still very much present.
