What did you do for your last birthday? Have a nice dinner? Cool. For her 30th birthday, Solange Knowles decided to gather all her closest friends, wear matching outfits, and do a dramatic photo shoot at White Sands in New Mexico, easily in one of the most beautiful destinations in the U.S. The photos are breathtaking.
She first took some solo:

Alexa Chung Looks Every Bit The Cool New Yorker In Her New AG Campaign

AG fall 2016. Photo: Theo Wenner

Throughout her career, model, documentarian and Cool British Person Alexa Chung has fronted campaigns for brands including Eyeko, Madewell, Longchamp and Mulberry. However, her latest project has her revisiting familiar territory: After last year's collaborations with AG, she's now the face of its fall 2016 ad campaign — her first for the brand outside of the imagery promoting the aforementioned collaborations.

"At the risk of sounding cliché, there’s really no one quite like her," said Johnathan Crocker, vice president of global communications for AG, of Chung. "Trying to define what makes her so unique is close to impossible, but that’s ultimately her appeal, and why we’re thrilled to be continuing our partnership."

This Is Our #FirstStop For Every Trip To NYC

PHOTO: Yelp user Edith M.
I love to travel, and I loathe feeling like a tourist. This aversion to on-the-beaten-path exploration prompts me to ask a lot of questions at dinner parties. My favourite line of inquiry for well-travelled friends and random strangers alike re: globe-trotting has long been Where’s the first place you go when you get off the plane? I want to know what’s more urgent than checking my bags at the hotel. Where is the do-not-pass-go, do-not-collect-$200 spot one must directly venture to upon arrival? Everyone has a #firststop in a city that they frequent. Exploring the world through the hyper-local lens of vetted musts is, IMHO, the only way to travel. In our new series, I’ll be sharing those places with...

Gucci Is Launching An Online-Only Collection

landscape-1467219336-hbz-gucci-garden-index

Gucci will be launching a new collection of women's ready to wear and accessories exclusively online, the brand announced yesterday. It's fittingly named "Gucci Garden," referencing the flora and fauna accents that creative director Alessandro Michele has introduced as the brand's newest staple, thanks to his debut collection last year.
With Gucci Garden, the designer is launching a new nature-friendly pattern featuring birds, bees, bugs and a variety of blooms. The whimsical design is getting the classic treatment with an oil-painting inspired makeover. Fan favorites like the pleated skirt, reversible bomber jacket, Dionysus bag (in three sizes), slip-on mules and patched denim flares are all included in the range.

Take a look at some of the pieces below, and shop them on gucci.com on July 5.

Tweeting Just Got Way More Fun

tweeting-just-got-way-more-fun-1875744.640x0c

Twitter just majorly upped its fun factor. Long seen as a platform for public figures and media junkies, Twitter has been losing the popularity contest to rivals Facebook and Snapchat. So, it was only a matter of time before the social network added filters in an attempt to appeal to younger users.

The virtual stickers, which launched this week, include many of your favourite emoji, as well as original iconography developed by Twitter itself. Users can layer the stickers over any photo they upload to their timelines. As with Facebook and Snapchat versions, the stickers can be resised, rotated, and multiplied.
