Let the street style games begin! New York Fashion Week is starting to ramp up and as such, it’s time to start predicting which designer logos, It bags, puffer coats, and Vetements gear we’ll be seeing en masse around town.
The past few weeks have been busy with the menswear collections, the Paris haute couture shows, and Fashion Weeks in cities as far ranging as Copenhagen and Kiev. The early-bird showgoers shelled out some seriously stellar street attire, the bulk of which may point to key trends we’ll be seeing in the month to come.
Before the cool kids all officially hit the streets, better familiarize yourself with the apparel and accouterments above that are sure to rule this season.
The Dior Feminist Tee
With all of the political unrest happening in the U.S. and abroad, statement tees are almost guaranteed to be a key part of the street style crew’s wardrobe this season. Chief among them could be Dior’s We should all be feminists shirt.
Last month saw models and show attendees getting a bit more practical, strapping on chic fanny packs. A few were spotted with designer iterations around their waist, while some chose to wear a label-less version like a mini cross-body bag.
Not a baseball-hat fan? Berets popped up on the streets in Stockholm and Kiev. The French accessory might make a cool, fresh comeback during the Fall 2017 shows in New York, London, Milan, and its hometown of Paris.
Editors beware: Wearing your coat over your shoulders is no longer a marker of fashion status. Currently, it’s all about wearing your outerwear a little loose off of the shoulder—winter temps be damned.
