Want a bold twist on braids? Try these braided bantu buns with braids I created on Serayah, singer and actress of Fox’s hit series Empire (she plays Tiana Brown, if you're already not obsessed/watching!) — set to her newly released single "Driving Me," featuring Jazze Pha.

Watch and learn:

1. Section off a center part. Using a rat-tail comb, section off the front half of your hair (from 1-inch past your ear) from the back half of your hair. Clip the back section into a bun to keep it out of the way, and then part a 1/2-inch section of hair down the center of your head to your crown. 2. Section your hair some more. Again, using a rat-tail comb, part your hair into a thicker...

It’s Jacket Season—And I, For One, Am Thrilled

gettyimages-649433858-1509052374

When I woke up this morning, bright-eyed and bushy-eyebrowed, tiny blue birds flitting around my head, this is what I did. I saw a blanket of grey clouds, felt a chilly breeze drift through the weird crack in my bedroom window, smiled to myself, and thought, It's motherf**king jacket season. (With apologies to McSweeney's.)

i love to wear jackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
— Estelle Tang (@waouwwaouw) 2017년 10월 26일

Let me explain. A jacket is a hug. A jacket is an extra layer of fashionable expression. A jacket is a good thing to leave at your friend's house so you get to go there again (sorry to the four people I've done this to in the last two weeks). Jackets are treasures of the garment world, and I am...

The Under-The-Radar Fashion IG Account We’re Obsessing Over

elle-shoe-comp-1509024567
Food made to look like fashion, elementary-aged children dressed with an abnormal amount of sartorial sense, dog anything: Instagram is nothing if not a repository for clickable content. With a solid four years of carefully crafted images scrolling before our eyes (IG was purchased by Facebook in 2012, marking its unofficial birth into mainstream culture), we should all be forgiven for being just a tiny bit jaded. Beyond the sheer volume of it all, it's common for today's square-crop peddlers to count Insta as their full-time gig, a distinction that's helpful to remember if your own posts ever seem a little blah. All of the above explains why we're obsessed with @MonsieurSaturday's feed. Beyond the obvious (shoes!), Monsieur is run by Octavio Platón Akel, an...

Issa Rae On CoverGirl, Representation, And Her Magical Meeting With Beyoncé

gettyimages-816665022-2-1508982586

When Issa Rae added face of CoverGirl to her already stacked resume, it was a not only a massive win for the Insecure creator and star, but for black women everywhere—myself included. Earlier this week, I sat down with Rae to discuss representation, what joining CoverGirl means to her, her beauty icons, and, of course, that time she met Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Read on to learn about Rae's unique approach to beauty, and how Queen Bey "saved" her.

For me, “I am what I make up” means that I control who I want to be. I’m thrilled to be a part of a powerful film from such an iconic brand, with a dynamic group of women. Follow @COVERGIRL for more updates! #COVERGIRLMADE #IAmWhatIMakeUp Issa Rae(@issarae)님의...

Princess Charlene's shimmering column gown, swept-back blonde hair, and diamond earrings brought to mind her late mother-in-law, who left her Hollywood career behind to become the Princess...

The Sports Bra And Sneakers That Helped Me Survive a 199 Mile, 28-Hour Relay Race

htc-8-15-13-1508965319

Earlier this summer a friend of mine asked if I wanted to run Oregon's Hood to Coast relay race. Knowing nothing about it, except that Nike was going to help us train, I eagerly said yes because, well, if you follow me on Instagram (@nikkiogun) you're familiar with #nikkifornike, and also I'm sort of a masochist when it comes to the sport.

Apparently I really love to run.

Apparently I really love to run. / FRED GORIS
Over the course of seven weeks I trained with a group of strangers who'd turn into the most lit group chat/run family I know and whom I now affectionately refer to as the Beast Coast Crew. We ran everywhere: Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge. Uptown, Downtown, Midtown. And in every kind of weather: misty rain and...

How Royal Couples Announced Their Engagement Through The Years

Getty

Will there be another announcement soon?

Over the past couple of months, the royal rumor mill has been in overdrive: Is an engagement on the cards for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Royalists and fans of the Suits star are eagerly anticipating that Kensington Palace could soon announce an engagement following the couples’ public displays of affection at the Invictus games, Markle’s insightful Vanity Fair interview and a reported private meeting between the couple and the Queen. Unfortunately, as it stands, there has been no official word just yet. So while we hope and wait, let’s take a look back at how a variety of other royal couples have announced their engagements. The Queen Mother (Queen Elizabeth) and King George VI After being asked for the third time, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon said yes to...

Kendall Jenner Wore A Ripped Shirt To This Fancy Party And Clearly Could Not Be Bothered

GETTY

*Me at every party.*

At Kourtney Kardashian's PrettyLittleThing fashion line launch party on Wednesday night, most people chose to wear glittery party dresses, but Kendall Jenner DGAF about that. Surrounded by a sea of sequined minis, she sported this hole-y shirt and jeans.

With natural makeup and her hair thrown up in a bun, Kendall at this party is basically my hero. I simply cannot be bothered to dress up and her shredded T-shirt and jeans are validating me so much RN.

THE EXTERIOR FACADE OF MAISON LOUIS VUITTON VENDÔME, ORIGINALLY DESIGNED BY JULES-HARDOUIN MANSART, THE ARCHITECT OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES.

Located at 2 Place Vendôme, the grand 18th-century building was where the brand's story began over 160 years ago. It was here—below two hôtel particuliers and behind a facade designed by Jules-Hardouin Mansart, the architect of the Palace of Versailles—that a young Louis Vuitton opened his first store. Today, the address has come back to life with the help of architect Peter Marino.

Pharrell’s Sneakers For Chanel Are a Go

pharrell-chanel-1509029474

The famed Colette won't be open for much longer, but it will certainly be going out with a bang. Next week the Parisian boutique will be taken over by Chanel, in a new exhibition that will also see an exclusive sneaker designed by Pharrell Williams.
Today it was confirmed that not only is Karl Lagerfeld teaming up with Adidas for an exclusive shoe for the boutique, but that he has also tapped the musician to help with the design. Called the Adidas Hu NMD, the shoe is the first time that Williams, a longtime ambassador for Chanel, will design an item for the luxury label.
