Ladylike With a Subversive Streak

A lady in the streets, but a freak in the sheets? Every fashion capital has its own distinct look, and the dominant mood floating around London is all-out femininity spiked with a sexy, subversive streak. Simone Rocha and Molly Goddard are two must-see designers known for making frothy, utterly romantic confections that have a girlish charm—but are hardly virginal. Edie Campbell opened Goddard’s Spring show in a full-skirted white cotton dress with an off-kilter empire waist. Innocent enough, but she was dragging on an e-cigarette and clutching a glass of wine, her eyes smudged with kohl (leftover from the night before?). There was something similarly twisted about Rocha’s latest collection inspired by the china dolls she played with growing up, which she’d dress in Victorian gowns...

7 Reasons Your Hair Deserves to Be Accessorized As Much As Your Fingers And Ears

When's the last time you thought about really doing your hair, outside of styling it (even just brushing it, if you're so low-maintenance you might be broken)? Now's the time to bring clips and flowers and pearly barrettes to the forefront of your minds, comrades, because they're pretty and convey a sense of deliberateness we seem to have lost. Here, seven fresh ideas that might persuade you to have a dig through your (hair) jewelry box.

A simple barrette slipped in near the hairline lends a schoolgirl-y dimension that complements Anderson's slightly off-kilter fit-and-flare dresses.

’90s Jellies Make a Comeback In Milan

Alberta Ferretti knows an Insta-hit when she makes one.
Last season, the storied Italian designer sent models like Stella Maxwell and Halima Adendown the catwalk in days-of-the-week sweaters that everyone wore, and blogged, and eventually resold on The Real Real because #hustle.
Today, she doubled down with Skittle-colored tees and millennial pink cashmere sweaters in the same vein, plus something a little extra for us '90s junkies: black plastic jellies dotted with silver studs.

The flat shoes were worn by Feretti's supermodel squad, including Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, both Hadid sisters, and several Victoria's Secret mainstays. Paired with black one-piece swimsuits and some easy, shiny anoraks, the jellies were a nice relief from the white puffy sneakers and fuzzy grey slides we usually see with...

Kendall Jenner Wears a Fuzzy Sweater, Casually Declares Summer O-V-E-R

Summer is officially dead.

That weird transition between summer and fall is arguably one of the hardest seasonal changes to style, but Kendall Jenner went ahead and did just that with her latest look.
The model paired an oversized fuzzy cream sweater and cropped beige track pants with suede tan heels while out in Italy for Milan Fashion Week.

I can only imagine Kendall wore this sweater to send some plea to the weather gods, but the light color palette definitely gives a subtle nod to warmer days. She added '90s-esque sunnies and put her hair in a super casual, I-woke-up-like-this half bun.

Summer who? I don't know her. Shop the Kendall-inspired looks below.

Prabal Gurung Knows We Need a Fashion Revolution

Prabal Gurung is at a rare moment of standstill. At an isolated table at The Dirty French, the Singaporian designer is discussing his new 16-piece collection with plus-size retailer Lane Bryant, a collaboration that's been a long time in the making. Gurung is no stranger to designing for curvier women (having cast plus-size models like Ashley Graham and Candice Huffine in his shows before) and using his stage to promote inclusivity. A prime example was his Fall 2017 show, where models walked the runway wearing tees with politically charged slogans like, "Our Minds, Our Bodies, Our Power;" "Break Down Walls;" and "I Am an Immigrant." This collection only seeks to amplify his message. It's no secret that plus-size women aren't exactly privileged in the...

Victoria’s Secret Is Brainging Back Pink Sweatpants For One Day Only

Courtesy Victoria's Secret

The ultimate #TBT.

In the early 2000s, you probably collected Victoria's Secret's PINK sweats in various colors and wore them around proudly, with the logo on your behind and the gartered hems either rolled up to your calves or tucked into your UGGs. (We've all been there.) Though versions of the pant have been around for years, the original design hasn't been available since it launched in 2002—but that changes now. Victoria's Secret is re-releasing its famous PINK sweatpants, and they're only available for today (Thursday, September 21). The collegiate-inspired pieces are currently selling for $40 at select stores across the U.S. LOCATIONS If you can't make it today, you'll have a chance to shop an exclusive blinged-out version (pictured above) online at on...

This Challah Is The Greatest Recipe Of All Time

You know those recipes we hold near and dear to our hearts because they really are the greatest of all time? Well, our Greatest Recipe of All Time series is where we wax poetic about them. Today, senior editor Julia Kramer shares her mom's recipe for challah. Every time I got an email from one of’s indefatigable editors asking for my family’s “Greatest Recipe of All Time,” I felt like a failure. I didn’t have one. Then I invited Rick Martinez, one of our senior food editors, over for Shabbat dinner. I braised a leg of lamb for hours, and a friend showed up with a dead-on reproduction of the upside-down pear cake. And yet: The only thing Rick has talked to me about since is the...
